I think Dawson is young enough to shake that off, but it will be interesting to see how he responds after his toughest fight. I really think Tarver's legs are gone and if you make him fight at a fast pace he'll get trounced.

To me it seems as a last resort and Tarver has to fight him.
Well Tarver is fighting him now, so he's clearly not avoiding him. Last year Dawson had to deal with his mandatory being injured and Tarver didn't need to fight him at all. He mentions in a interview that Dawson wasn't a big name and I don't think Tarver is scared of Dawson.

If you ever saw any Dawson's fights, this guy is a real talent. I haven't seen a talent like him in a while. His right jab and straight left are a thing of beauty to watch. He reminds of a Floyd Mayweather Jr. when he was young. Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a setback in his career when he had a controversial win against JLC but he redeemed himself in the rematch. Same thing with Dawson when he beat Glen Johnson in a controversial win, the only reason why he couldn't get a rematch right away is because the ABC mandatories prevented that.

I used the term "avoided" for a reason. I'm fully aware that they are fighting now. But the truth is Dawson was willing to take the fight in a hear beat. And I've seen several Dawson fights and yes he's talented.

Tarver WAS avoiding Dawson and I think that much was obvious. I was there at the post-card presser when they fought on the same card sometime last year and Tarver absolutely bolted once reporters started asking him about Dawson. Of course with Chad sitting right there I wouldn't wanna answer questions about him either.

No doubt, he now has had a change of heart after watching Glen Johnson slow his clock a little. He's betting he is crafty enough to catch Dawson with the one punch that will end the show. He's probably right.
