That's not it. There have been plenty of extremely skilled/exciting fighters in the sport's history. But, since Gatti isn't one of them I chose him for the purposes of this thread.

I'm saying if you had to choose between the two careers which way would you go?

      Exactly!

Why not compare Spinks to somebody like Pac, THEN ask the same question!

He picked himself up off the canvas so many times in his career that he was able to become a millionare on basically guts alone. But, he got hit and he got hit alot and there's no telling what lies ahead for the man health wise.

            or

Bhop is not even close to being as exciting as Gatti and as such is nowhere near as popular. He has accomplished much more in his career, but even when he was defending his belt 20 some times the public never really knew who he was. But, he has never taken a beating and he has a better chance to live a relatively healthy life than that of Gatti.

So, which career would you rather have? Beloved by all but in multiple wars or hated by most without having ever sustained a beating.
I pick Hopkins, but I wish he'd have stayed retired after the win over Tarver.

In that case, i'd rather be Pac (loved and involved in many wars), rather than Spinks (boring, loved by knowbody, and never really sustaining any beatings)

I'm sure I'd rather be Hopkins than Gatti at 50 or 60 years old.

Which is why I chose Gatti and Bhop. Spinks and Pac is not even a question.

B-Hop. He had the ability to bounce on his toes and move around the ring fleet-footed like Muhammad Ali.
