I can see Roy landing some of those fast combinations off the ropes, just not often enough. I could even see him dropping Joe to the canvas, like Hopkins did.
I totally agree, I think he has enough to make the fight competitive but not enough left to win.

3.How come he won a olyimpic silver medal ( robbed of the gold) for his boxing skills?

4.Why has he got a 16 Knockout ( not slap until ref stops match ) record with many brutal TKO's aswell?

5.such a bum ? calslappsilly so great? ...Why is joe calslappsilly fighting him?

5 questions like many before that none of you can answer. Joe calzaghe has achived nothing. Its a fact.

        So to summarize:

Calzaghe has never won an olympic medal casue he wasnt good enough.

He has never beat an opponent in their prime

He has no style and no outstanding talent

He likes to beat up washed up shot OAP's that are retiring

his boxing rec is crap and he is a paper champion

Hes about to loose his undefeated record come november 8th

        u mad ?.....u furious ? ....
Yes "on paper" Jones has MUCH more to offer than Calzaghe career wise. But Joe can say he's never been defeated let alone knocked out. Twice. Jones has sealed his ATG/HOF status and he knows this, Joe is hungry to seal the deal for his status. You have two hungry guys both on the downfall of there career.

So IMHO that makes this is GREAT fight. Both fighters have great styles for each other. I don't think Jones has seen anyone that can go all twelve rounds and not really break a sweat and I don't think Calzaghe has experienced anyone as smart or as fast as Jones. I see it a 50/50 chance. Like my sig says If Jones comes to the ring with legs Calzaghe will leave the ring with a loss. BUT on the flipside if he dose not and Calzaghe pressures him like he does every fighter swinging away non stop he can just as easily win the fight.

I don't think anyone should compare these guys with there careers because thats neither here nor there. The time is now and you need to look at what is now. Jones is almost 40 and is not the same guy that he once was, and according to some Calzaghe is not the same as he was a few years ago. So both guys are coming to the end of there career and I think its a perfect match. This will be a great fight. If Joe wins lets see him face PAVLIK to seal the deal in the HOF and if Jones wins............... who knows!

Probably my favourite thing on this forum are Roy fanboys who don't even know anything about Roy.
