Crazylegs, I have been here for a while and I know that you and LFCU at one point received the same bull**** that we are right know...I ask why stoop to the level of the cats on here that gave you a hard time? Are you just glad that all the attention is directed towards us now? Homie don't stoop to their level, I know your a better poster than that. Let's just keep it real and come together for the sake of this site and boxing in general.

I have been thinking about a thread to write for quite some time now, and well, quite frankly, this is the only thing that really has come to mind. This site is something that we must cherish, and not take for granted. It has given us all a way to communicate with others, with friends, with acquantances, and last, but most important, with Boxing Fans.

Regardless of who Im down with, who you might roll with, who your favorite fighter is, and vice versa, one thing we all must have in common is the simple fact that we are true fans of the sport. You may be different from me, we may have VERY different views and opinions, but lets realize that we are among a minority nowadays, true boxing fans. Over the years, maybe people have turned away from boxing, me personally speaking, I was turned onto boxing at a young age. I would watch the fights, every wednesday, watching the big fights of the years on HBO, TVKO, whenever there was one a Sat. night.

The biggest fights, when holding the HW title really meant something, when wars were waged and there was a FOTY candidate damn near every other weekend. WHEN IT STILL MEANT SOMETHING FOR THE BEST FIGHTERS IN THE WORLD TO FIGHT WHO.......EACH OTHER.....It would seemingly become played down over the years, we have more alphabet titlists then ever before. We have fighter claiming there on top of the world, yet some still stay away from the other dominant champion in the division. This was my times in boxing, when I realized how much this sport really meant to me. Watching fights over my Uncle's, being up till 12-1 in the morning to watch the biggest fights of the year everytime they were one. This was boxing for me.

We look at ehat we have here, a forum to speak to other people about how we would break down a fight, or what fighters will be victorious, or which fighters are among the ATG's out there right now. We all needa clean this place up. We are in the year 2008, and I cant go one day without reading a post on this forum where somebody states something, anything that doesnt involve a racist remark. This hating **** is getting sickening. Ok I get it, I dont agree with you, you dont agree with me, thats it, nuff said. Why get at each other, like we can really do somehting about it, of course Im going to defend my brand and you will yours, but why do it in a way that makes us look like little boys when in fact you may be 37 and I am 22?

Im guilty of it, arguing over something I dont believe in. I'll be the first to tell ya as well, but lets not get over the top anymore people. This is the greatest sport in the world, and everyone is going to have something negative to say about another poster on here, BUT, lets get over the petty stuff. The racist bull****, and the wise cracks towards each other that really aren't needed.

This is one of our only ways to be heard, and really lets be honest we have absolutely not idea who really could be reading. There are going to be some new people getting involved, lets show them how to be class acts on this forum. There are probably well over 100 different races on here, there is no minority on here. We...........THE BOXING FANS ARE THE MINORITY PEOPLE....

Lets make this a better place......I THINK BOXING DESERVES IT........THE FIGHTERS DESERVE IT..........BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY............WE DESERVE IT....

I know the Coalition gets a bad rap from most people on here i dont really know any of the coalition people but i always end up agreeing with most of your posts.

The LFCU stood for something different and was misunderstood by many. Also more importantly the LFCU was a JOKE..not many people understood that so it made it even more entertaining for those of us in the LFCU. We didnt rant and write 1000 word essays on garbage common sense crap or spam NSB we kept our member discussion in the lounge. I really dont care about the Coalition I just think its inspired by the LFCU so its a bit corny for me to come back after being away for a while and see this pitiful excuse for a Clique

OK so you don't like them and claim you don't care. Do you feel that gives you the right to insult them? Did they attack you or belittle you?

Excellent post DanielTurcotte3.

I started watching boxing hardcore early to mid 90's and as far as hardcore fans, I had no one to talk to. If you think some of the forum members we have lack knowledge, trying talking to a casual fan on the street and I guarantee you'll come running back to this forum or another just to talk to someone who at least has half a clue.

I think I got my feet wet online early 2000. I used to go into the AOL boxing chat rooms(I used to see you there too Iceman), talk **** for a few hours and do round by rounds. I can't believe I used to actually sit there and actually do a live round by round, but it felt good having boxing fans from all over the world thank me. From there I discovered Boxing.com which was the grand daddy of all boxing forums. After Boxing.com shut it's door I tried braggingrightscorner, ********boxing, maxboxing, boxingtimes, ***********, but didn't feel at home the same way I did at boxing.com.

I'm not even an old timer in boxing terms, but back in the day there was no Sopcast, no HBO 2 in case you missed the fight, no Youtube, no *******s, and worst of all no one to talk to. Just me and a collection of crusty ass vhs tapes. At most you might find someone to trade or buy tapes from the back of Boxing Digest.

I've been on both sides of the spectrum. From no one to talk to, to guys forming a boxing Coalition, gotta love it! I'll take the extreme hardcore(as annoying as it may be at times) over talking to myself any day. While I might not agree or even like everyone on this forum, it's good to have someone to talk to about the sport.

It's been a pleasure talking to you guys, but I'm going to take this time to say goodbye. It's time for me to focus 100% into my career and I have to get rid of all distractions.

And this ^^^ is what we have been trying to tell people, even though we shouldnt have to .... the fact that we are all knowledgeable boxing fans with opinions of our own, we can agree to disagree and still get along ... thats what holding a reasoned, intelligent debate is about. You cant have the respect theat entails when your threads and replies are bombarded with idiotic responses that have no relevance to the original thread and are merely an attack on an individual or group.
