Thank you. Clottey was feeling Margarito's pressure and that's what made his hand hurt worse. Yet people still perpetuate the lie that it was broken.

        Opinion varies on Margarito-Williams

        By Kevin Iole

        Sunday, Jul 15, 2007 12:03 am EDT

CARSON, Calif. - The media covering the Paul Williams-Antonio Margarito WBO welterweight title fight had a varied opinion on the outcome:

Kevin Iole, Yahoo! Sports: Margarito, 116-112

Tim Smith, New York Daily News: Draw, 114-114

Steve Springer, Los Angeles Times: Draw, 114-114

Bill Dwyre, Los Angeles Times: Margarito, 115-113

        Steve Kim, MaxBoxing.com: Margarito, 115-113

        Doug Fischer, MaxBoxing.com: Margarito, 115-113

Jerry Magee, San Diego Union-Tribune: Williams,
        116-112

Robert Morales, Los Angeles Daily News: Williams,
        115-113

Carlos Arias, Orange County Register: Williams,
        115-113

David Avila, Riverside Press Enterprise: Draw, 114-114

        Francisco Salazar, *********.com: Draw, 114-114
why does it matter what the press row thought? what did YOU think of the fight?
if those scores are making your judgment than stop watching boxing. I wouldn't care if 100 top boxing analysts had fighter A losing to fighter B. If I think fighter A won according to what I saw, than I will stick to what I believe no matter what.

That's true. Iole used to say that a Margarito-Gatti fight would be even.

I'd trust the opinions of unbiased writers who cover this sport for a living than a bunch of nuthuggers on a boxing forum...

That's the spirit. The Weebler will always believe that Hatton was winning easily on the cards against Mayweather before getting KTFO. To hell with the official score cards, analysts and press scores!

Unfortunately in the real world just because you believe something it doesn't necessarily make it so.

If any idiot actually thinks Margarito won 6 rounds they need to quit watching boxing. It was 8-4, EASY.

Scott, he wasn't even hitting Clottey clean let alone hitting him. He did nothing to Clottey. Margs face was damaged and lumped. Margs was rocked a few times. Margs pressure wasn't even effective. He landed some body shots and was the benefit of some outragious scoring. Do you think Clottey was faking the hand injury??? lol

If you saw this fight, which most of us doubt you did and are probably a band wagon fan, the fans all thought Margs lost. If you had a few fans who said Margs didn't lose, they would only say it was a draw. Nobody believes Margs won more rounds than Williams. No sane fans believes this.
