    NoBody Deserves nothing.

In boxing things are not as they seem. Very seldom do we actually see a fight that should happen and often see the fight that will generate the most money. We all know this. However there is much to fault here on these forums. For example, DLH. This is the best example I can use for misguiding the sport. Many would say he should fight Margarito. Margarito deserves a big payday. No he doesn't. He hasn't beat anyone. He got beat a year ago with one of the worst performance I have seen in a while, P Williams. For all the hype and accolades he deserves a pat on the back for a good fight against Cotto but please take a step and show us who you are. Please fight P Williams whom beat him pretty easily by peppering him with the absolute weakest punches in boxing. Margarito was great on one night. how about Margarito vs Mora that would make for an interesting fight? He deserves nothing yet. What he should do is show that he is the best and clean out the division. From what I saw in the fight after watching it several times is Cotto will be fine. Any man that goes 11 rounds of nonstop action win/lose/or draw is no quitter. As far as I'm concerned he went out on his shield. He showed many flaws but also showed some greatness. What I find appalling is in these forums with immature testosterone fueled conversations, many get lost. When there favorite boxer wins, they are the greatest of all time and deserve to fight for the biggest purse out there. When they lose, well, someone is on steroids, or he was injured before the fight, or the new trainer failed him.

Margarito is an amateur in skill. He is not a pedigree fighter like Mayweather. He's not going to last at the top. if he is the best he will make his money , by winning, the old fashion way. Keep winning and he will get what he deserves. Keep fighting like he did against P Williams and he will get what he deserves. One performance might land him the cover of some lackluster magazine at the local Gas stop but it shouldn't mean he should make more money. AS for DLH. the guy is a joke. But he has done alot for boxing. I hate to admit it but my mom watches DLH fights. What does that mean? that means that the real fights on the under card get watched by me and my brothers and family and friends. That means that these guys that are fighting for nothing ( when compared to the main event) might make a buck or 2 more. Who knows one of them might even get another fight because the performance went so well. So sometimes it's easy to knock DLH but sometimes if you look hard enuff you can see why the fight you are paying for is not the main event , but the 3-4 fights before it.

For the Margarito fans out there , you should hope he fights Williams next and proves me wrong. You should hope he fights Cotto again and proves that it was not just one special night. You should hope he fights Clotty and survives. If he does this, then I can promise you he will get my PPV money. I can assure you he will get what he deserves. The old fashion Way

Just for reference this is my top 5 currently
    JMM #1 P4P
Joe Blow Calzaghe ( can't stand the guy but you cannot deny him -
Money Mayweather - Not a boxer I guess just a full time clown and biggest waste of talent - I think if his brain could keep up with his mouth he has the ability to be the best ever. Unfortunately he has no heart.
Berto - great up and comer
Vasquez/Marquez - these 2 are lumped together because they are the best definition of boxing out there.

Donaire is pretty impressive as well. Very intelligent fighter

Please keep the conversation Civil. No boxer bashing and please share opinions with a reasonable response.

Margarito just beat the man who many considered the best welterweight out there he was a favorite to lose. No disrespect but i don't understand how you call Margarito a bum and boost up Cotto and say that he fought very well. If thats the case then how did the guy that systematically break him down perform? Who took his shots, wore him down and knocked him out. Something that no one expected. For that performance and for fighting the best, Margarito certainly deserves an easy big money fight with De La Hoya and anyone he wants. He beat the man.

I agree about the overhyping going on here, but you aren't giving Margarito that much credit.

As a boxer Margarito is a very amateur. Any boxer with stamina will beat him. His perfromances was great. as I stated " Margarito was great on one night " however he has been terrible on many others. I agree it was a great fight. He was very slow, technique was horrible and ; for example: Mayweather would cut him up, having to end the fight early. I hate Money Mayweather but his level of fitness is the very best in the sport. I apologize as bum is a strong words and will fix that. he is very amateur in skill however.

        EDIT: 5 Personal favorites.
P4P list are not what makes a great fighter.
great fights makes a great fighter.

You are correct. The great fighters do make the P4P list , however the order in which it stands can always be argued. Perhaps we disagree on whom we believe are great fighters. that is fine.

but please voice you opinion on the topic.

You don't like the way he fights, I can accept that. He is not amateurish by any means. I think you mean sloppy? It looks like you have a set and strong opinion of him which makes it kinda pointless to debate. You are really selling him short.

Nobody is owed anything....derserving is something else.
