      castillo was an elite lightweight. he was shot by the time he fought ngoudjo though. he was faded by the time he couldnt make lightweight anymore imo....

            The word "elite" is kind of vague to me. In my interpretation of it, only Castillo might have been.

              i agree with castillo and larios, but arce is kinda questionable. depends on what elite is defined as. in welterweight, there can be 10 elite fighters cause its stacked... in the lower weights, i dont think it is that wide ranging. since arce gets outclassed by montiel mijares and donaire, he is not really elite imo... borderline elite tho....

                How was Arce ducked by Pongsacklick when Arce never tried to enforce the mandatory? He was just walking around with an interim belt and fighting using that as a booster.

                  I think Castillo was the one true elite fighter on that list but Arce and Larios were at the top of their divisions at one point.
