      and now this monstrosity.

because it's a colossal mismatch that's going to be royally hyped up.

with a 24/7 among other things

all the excessive build up for what .. to see DLH not only milk the fans for a last pay day, but kayo a smaller man

            really worth PPV price.

and besides I cannot stand watching mis-matches .. another reason why this doesn't do any good.

As a boxing fan I'm very upset to hear a fight like is even in talks.I hope us as fans push by the thousands or even millions to keep the heat on about our angry in this fight taking place. We are the one's who pay these fighters so they can live very good lives and they entertain us in return. With that said it should be are choice on who fight who in the end.

dude you are over stressing on this.
It aint bad at all at least oscar can go out with a KO
Because all the casual fans will watch it would suck if oscar only got a boring ud or lost.
So for his finale let him go out in spectacular fashion with a devastating KO over the mexicutioner!
The man has put in so much for boxing if it wasnt for oscar boxing would be super dead you have to give this man credit he is the ppv king and the only real household name.
he made mayweather jr famous whoever fights him gets fame.

Let the man go out on to the sunset with a legendary win against the p4p king.
Pacman can go back down in weight after he suffers the KO.

What is this fights purpose? as far as best vs best i mean, aka legacy

It really is kinda bad, because I can see through Oscar a mile a way.

he can't fight Margarito .. doesn't want to face a Mexican his last fight. can't fight Cotto, because he doesn't want to piss off his wife. plus Cotto lost, so that's out the window.

and then there's the Trinidad chaos which ended because Tito doesn't want to fight below 165

so with those 3 options ruled out, can't you already see that DLH is getting desperate to face someone?

I mean, I'll reason with you. True DLH has put a lot into the sport, with his high profile fights over the years vs Mosley, Tito, Vargas and even Hopkins & most recently Mayweather last year.

It's safe to say that he's easily 1 of the most recognizable names in not just boxing, but all of sports.

but it's getting to the point where DLH selecting his opponent is becoming more of an event then the actual fight itself.

all this "Oscar announcing next opponent in 2 weeks" ... no wait "Oscar announcing opponent after Cotto/Margarito" yeah that sounds better

and the funny thing is all the names bolded have been seriously considered as opponents for DLH. and that's just 3 names

so it's more then the fact that he ran out of potential opponents his own size (Margarito, Cotto, Trinidad etc)

he's just looking to cash out, and great idea throwing $20 Million the Pound For Pound #1's way .. as Manny would be an idiot to say no.

so I respect Oscar's past accomplishments, but him selecting an opponent for his farewell December fight has become an absolute circus, IMO.

**plus add the whole "It's personal" rivalry with Pacquiao that Oscar is using and it's down right laughable. I mean all pro sports are essentially a business, but this DLH/Pac-Man is strictly a money fight.
