After watching Cotto Vs Marg foa a third time

I have come to the conclusion that Cotto didn't quit. His body did. He was taking alot of punishment from the sixth round on. In the 10th rd cotto seemed to have regained some stamina, but everything crashed in the 11th when his "pride" didn't allow him to clinch. All he had to do was clinch, but he chose not to. Also I think marg can take a good hit because he uses the mouth piece on his top teeth as well as his bottom teeth which gives him less grinding. Props to Cotto for not quitting like Cintron did. He is a hell of a fighter. I hope he comes back. He gave me my 50 dollars worth

To hell wit this quittin ****. Cotto and Kermit both got KTFO fair and square. Neither guy flat out quit. Both dealt wit mental and physical pressure they ain't used to cuz they fought a guy they were punchin the **** out of but kept on punchin the **** outta them without missin a beat.

Dude, kermit quit since the 2nd rd. Then getting ko'd. Cotto took 6 rounds of punishment before his body couldn't take it. but he took 6rds more than kermit. Listen I was a kermit fan but after the way he performed the 2nd time around I don't think he has heart.

When I was watching the replay before the Judah-Clottey match it seemed like after he went down the second time he nodded his head while getting up. Did anybody else see that?

Look at my Thread "So Cotto Quit?.." (http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=199578)

That shows what the 'nod' was Don't bother bumping it though.

I've watched the fight 4 times since getting back from Vegas. I give Cotto all the credit in the world for standing there toe to toe, when he didnt have to. Maybe part of the fact for standing there is that Marg's shots started having an effect on Cotto being able to continue to move around the ring plus the broken nose did not help. You simply cannot take anything from Cotto, in my eyes he is still a great warrior. Very few others will stand there and give that kind of fight. He'll be back hopefully better than before.

I am not trying to cause another **** storm or anything. After the fight was over they showed the replay off him going down the second time from a different angle, as he is getting of the ground he is looking at his corner and he slightly shakes his head. This is before he is fully on his feet and responding to Bayless.

i watched the encore last night. if you look really close when cotto backs up for the last time before taking the 2nd knee- it seems like he's testing his vision. his eye is the worst it gets during the couple exchanges before the first knee- i think he couldn't see out of one eye and he knew it was over.

no blind heroics- and cotto stays healthy to fight another day. i still say he could take a rematch if he really wanted it. it would involve being on his bike which would suck but he could definitely beat margarito.

I have honestly watched this fight about 10 - 12 times. I loved the fight. I hated Cotto before this fight, but I have to say that I was impressed with Cotto and have more love for him. Do I like him? Naw not really, but I have to give credit where credit is due.
