Goossen Offers 4-Million For Margarito-Williams Rematch

The money looks good, but it really depends on the terms of the contract. If Goossen is asking for options on Margarito, then Arum probably won't let this happen. But if it's a straight up $4 million with no strings attached, then Margarito should take this fight if he can't get Oscar...

There is NO way Goosen would ask for options on Margarito when he knows he has a contract with Arum? He didnt ask for options when he made the first fight between Margarito and Williams so i doubt he would this time around.


And moreover Goosen isnt the type of promoter who ask for options and make the deal/fight complicated, Thats what promoters like Don King, Bob Arum and Frank warren would do.

Arum has the best fighters in boxing!! There is no denying that he has not only the best, but the most talented, the most exciting, and they bring in loads of money!!!! Arum has problems with other promoters because it's other promoters trying to **** him over with his fighters or trying to get as rich as possible off arum and his fighters. Arum is a great guy and he's the best promoter out there. He's our last chance for boxing. Boxing with out toprank is something i dont want to think about. GBP isn't doing what top rank is and that's for sure!

Max DID mention PWill in the interview. As soon as the The Punisher's name came out of Max's mouth, Tony shook his had and waved his hand dismissively, as if to say "that's not the fight I want." However, when Kellerman brought up De La Hoya, Margarito immediately got a huge smile on his face and went on to talk about how that would be a great matchup.

I don't begrudge Tony his big payday, but I really really wanna see him square off with Williams again, sooner rather than later.

I don't even pay attention to the talk some of these posters post. It's full of hate. I'm just enjoying the cotto victory STILL!!! and i hope he lands a big payday against dlh. He deserves it, he's ducked NO ONE and he has finally arrived and reached his life time goal of champion of the world!!!
