Its near IMPOSSIBLE for the ref to make that call in the heat of action. Most refs just kinda guess based on how the fight is going. If they see a lot of head to head action, or head bumps, they will just guess and say it was a headbutt because thats how most cuts are created.

Tonights cut was clearly from a punch. The ruling definetly should have been a TKO victory for Josh Clottey.

You can't blame the ref though cause its impossible to make the call. You HAVE to let the ref review the video-tape or at least let some ringside officials do it.

If I had the same bet I'd be pissed too. The cut was clearly caused by a punch. The referee should always assume that it was unless he saw a butt, but it always works the other way around.

yea exactly they alwasy assume its a headbutt cause its a more common creator of cuts.

But you know again, i dont wanna blame the ref cuase its near impossible to catch the cut the exact second it forms
