Floyd has more fans than any other boxer. (Too many)

Floyd has officially retired from boxing. He finished his career undefeated with victories over many future Hall of Famers so it is no suprise that he has many fans. Look at the threads on any boxing website & you will find many about Floyd.

Floyd has at least 4 children & has the right to not fight again if he does not want to. Some haters wish he was still a slave & did not have any rights. They are obsessed with seeing him fight exactly who they want him to fight & sometimes exactly how they fell he should fight at the same time. With legendary fights against fighters like Hernandez, Castillo, & Diego behind him.

All he had to do was beat a puncher like Gatti. Then that was not enough. All he had to do was beat someone with speed like Zab Judah. Then that was not enough. All he had to do was beat a REAL WW like Baldomir. Then that was not enough. All he had to do was beat Oscar. Then that was not enough.

So on & so on. All I am saying is please I know a lot of you guys are Floyd fans but it is over now. (He also has a large obsessed following of haters) But lets move on.

    ur kidding right?

Floyd was smart in playing the villian, cause he got millions to pay to watch him lose. He doesnt have nearly as many "Fans" as a guy like Cotto, Pacquiaou, or Margarito, but he is definetly much more well known here in the states

De La Hoya, Calzaghe, Hatton have bigger followings.

Not in this country. But then again, these are WORLD champions.

This is one thing I thought about today. A lot of people forget about the obligations fighters have to their families, and the fact that many times they barley get to see them. Just look at Jermain Taylor, he never gets to see his kids much because of the back and forth fights with Pavlik.

That's true. However, what you have to remember is that fans feed Floyd's kids.

He has all the skills in the world to get fans to WANT to pay for his fights. But, if they choose not to, then he's looking for another line of work. I'm not saying that justifies calling him a ***** for retiring. What I will say is that fans who support him could feel a bit of dissapointment with how he went out with some questions still around.

I'd be like paying for the first two movies in a trilogy and then the third movie is never made. Things happen. Can't blame anyone. It still ****ing sucks.

Cotto, Pac Man, & Margarito fans have never showed up with the PPV numbers Floyd pulled for his fights with Oscar & Hatton. Floyd even got 325,00 PPVs for his fight with Baldomir which was a miracle. BTW after Hatton fought Floyd his next fight was on the versus network (basic cable).

As a true fan of boxing and a fan of Margarito I would love to see him fight the best of the best as long as its a great fight. Mayweather fans want to see him fight has been Champions. The only fights that Mayweather had a challenge in were Hatton and DLH. And he won, good for him, but what about the rest. He still had to prove he was the best. Example Pacman.... I don't like him cause im mexican and sincerly he has woop on every mexican but he is a great fighter and has gone against the best of the best and won't stop. So when people said mayweather is a great fighter its just a joke.

Oh yeah no doubt. I didn't mean Floyd specifically though, he basically defined he is the game for himself alone when he fought Hatton and De La Hoya. I just think some people are a bit harsh on some fighters without stepping in their shoes. Good post..
