Boxing Scene is in a state of 9-11.

A lot of the **** that goes on today went on from the very first day I joined only that the difference between now and then is that **** is a lot more widespread. When I first joined I would say I was more of a casual fan.. I knew the big names, I watched the PPVs but my boxing knowledge wasn't very good. Talking and having conversation or simply listening to posts made by knowledgeable people helped me learn more about the sport all around. Today, I know a lot more when I first came in here thanks to joining a gym but also reading what people like John Scully, for example, where saying on the boards.

It seems this place has really gone down hill though and a lot of the older posters would agree and I can see their frustration. The more you post in NSB the dumber you get it seems and I'm starting to think my posting quality has gone down because of that very same reason... lol It's wild how many groupies we have on here now who can't have a decent friendly argument and only log on to.. well I have no idea why they log on other then to flame each other and attack others. Maybe they are insecure in real life.. they don't get the attention they need in real life?? ..I dunno.

Today's hot topics are why someone is over rated, why someone shouldn't fight someone else, who has more money, what the ppv sales are and all this other nonsense bull****. **** we shouldn't even be worrying about as fans and **** that is mostly irrelevant. As fans we should be looking for the best fighting the best and not settle for anything else.

Anyway, back then.. it was because this website had more die hard fans of the sport and was less mainstream I'm guessing?? I can probably trace all this back to DLH Mayweather.. Before then there wasn't as many groupies, wasn't as many dumb posters on the scene. The value of someones opinion was worth more on here.. now a days the majority of these posters their opinions aren't worth ****. I guess we got what we wanted though right??..More mainstream fans.. more fans in general??.. It's sad we had to sacrifice quality for it though.

I can certainly see why Dye and a lot of the older posters have decided to stop posting and no longer do here...

anyway this just a little friendly **** you to all the posters who ruined it for all the posters I learned so much from.

I can relate to this and I haven't even been posting here that long. When I started I was all about factual boxing talk, these days I end up arguing with all kinds of people about all kinds of dumb stuff. It gets hard to stay out of it after a while.

It's gone from hard core boxing fans to a bunch of nationalistic and one fighter fans.

I have to agree. I joined here more than 4 years ago and lately you can barely find me posting here, mostly because if you post something and tell it like it is, fanboy trolls jump on you like they know it all.
