The Pac-DLH fight still hasnt taken place so you're just speculating at this point. People are critical of this fight because money seems to be the main motivator behind it. Pac is most likely going to lose to DLH but he's willing to take that risk because of the big payday and the possibility that DLH wont bring anything to the ring at this point in his career (if you can still call it that).

Pac has been criticized in the past for building his legacy on fighting older champs while avoiding tough young boxers and many people see DLH as yet another older boxer that Manny's got his sights set on, although DLH is obviously much larger and will prove to be a difficult challenge shot or not. In any event, the overwhelming majority of criticism is directed at DLH for facing a smaller younger fighter not the other way around. Personally, I'd rather see DLH retire, he's accomplished enough in the sport. He doesnt need to take a one sided beating from Margarito or a one sided victory over a smaller Pacquiao.

Some Mexican fans made a big deal out of Ponce's win over Boom boom because Filipinos were hyping him up to a ridiculous degree and talking alot of smack on top of it. They talked about him like he was the next great champ or the "new manny" but he ended up going down just as quickly as he came up. JuanMa however proved he was the real thing and PR fans also loudly celebrated that victory.

I agree that Puerto Ricans are cool in general. Mexicans and Puerto Ricans get along well for the most part, outside of the sport of boxing that is. Most Filipinos get along well with Puerto Ricans as well but I guarantee there will be alot more tension when JuanMa defeats a few Filipino prospects because the most rabid Filipino fans always take it personal. There are definitely rabid fans on every side but some Pacnuts defend Pac like he was their father or son. This forum is pretty laid back though, aside from a handful who are always looking to instigate stuff but even the really loud people like viva are at least trying to be funny even if they often fail or get on people's nerves. Anyway I'm off.

Maybe they are avoiding him valero challenge pacman then hismanager pulled back, then a while back floyd sr said guzman wasnt ready for pac.
Juan Diaz lost to campbell and he was calling out a smaller man in pacquiao who was 130 pounder.
But yet you do not scold diaz for fighting older men and calling out a smaller pac?
margarito fought some smaller guys and washed up fighters and blown up fighters.
