Viva you're one of the biggest Margarito cheerleaders i see on here. If it did in fact do 500k it had NOTHING to do with Margarito. Stop talking **** because you're gonna look like a fool when Margarito doesn't even fight on PPV in his next fight. The only way he does a PPV is if he fights Oscar and it wont be because of Margarito.....

It doesn't take much to convince some of you all does it,lol??
NO way in HELL this fight (as I've said before) did 500K buys. Damn good fight, respect due no doubt.
But the BUYS haven't even been released and the poster who posted this FARCE of a thread cited NO source. 500K buys for a boxing event is enormous and usually the announcements are made on Wednesdays and NONE has been made yet.
Which usually means the fight wasn't as successful as the promoter(read: Bob Arum who petitioned to have HBO NOT release the buys of his PPVs unless of course they're good after his awful Rahman vs. Maskaev buy rate) anticipated.
A buy rate like this would have been FRONT page on ALL the boxing sites, accompanied with a press release. To give you an idea of how many buys that is.
The top PPV this year was Jones vs. Trinidad at 500K+ buys. Both household names to the average american. You're telling me in this economy SUDDENLY that 500K more people decided to pay the whopping $50 price for this with no name (to the average non boxing fan) undercard it had??
Bullschit thread I wouldn't believe a got damn thing from the author of it.. *******!!Last edited by marzblkman; 08-01-2008, 07:20 PM.
