I overheard (from the hoods on the corner) that Cotto tapped that fine ass mamacita the night before the fight. That was surely the cause of his downfall!
Cotto rested the day before the fight, Margarito trained

i think its better to rest rather than train honestly.......im not sure if i believe that story but if you train the day before you run the risk of unwarranted injuries, over extending your body......its just not a good idea before a multi million dollar fight
unless its like light workouts or something.......but even then i would think you'd want to be well restedComment

You should rest 2 days before a fight and NO! training a day before the fight isn't good.Comment

Some people haven't boxed here ( the ones who didn't know that you don't train the day before a fight)
Some people there haven't boxed, too ( the ones who thought that Margarito is really training a day before a fight)
Other people here haven't boxed, too ( the ones who thought this is an excuse)
Lets just burry this threadComment

Don't think it would have made much of a difference to be honestComment

i think its better if a fighter rests actually the day before a fight especially a big fight! but its also all up to the individual because they know their body better than anyone and with how tough margarito is and how great a stamina he has, he might see it better to train the day before just to keep his body warmed up and in sync for when the fight starts!Comment
