Do you consider Hatton an ELITE fighter?

Marg is not an elite. He lost to Williams, who lost to Quintana.
Cotto is not an elite. He lost to Marg.
Pacman is not an elite. He lost to Morrales.
Hatton is not an elite. He lost to Mayweather.
Guzman, Campbell, Diaz, Marquez, Klitscho, Calzaghe and Pavlik are not elite either. For this is boxing forums, where individual achievements are nitpicked and cursed, regardless of the boxer. Where world champions and former belt holders are labelled as bums, by immature clowns who believe their own boxers **** smells of roses.
For this is BOXING FORUMS!!!Comment

Luckily it doesn't depend on what you 'consider', it depends on what the boxer does in the ring. You can ignore this and call it 'blah blah' if you want but the fact remains Hatton is Ring champ at JWW, where he has never lost, won a welter belt and has only lost to the P4P #1. If you're the best in the world in a dvision, then that makes you elite.
people are hating on hatton for no reason at all....
man like it or not Hatton is an elite fighter...he is the number#1 Fighter in the world at 140 for what 3 -4 years???
You might not like him, but dont be ****** give the man his respect. He is on top of a entire weight class in boxing which is 140..and he has control that division for 3-4 years.. If that is not elite....nothing is.
The man is elite.Comment

Cotto has a greater claim and is well on his way to be considered elite, he's beaten Mosely and Judah in succession and has a far better resume than Hatton, i agree Witter has no right to fight Hatton, Hatton for the majority of his career spent his time defending his WBU strap against chump stains, Cotto has been matched very hard from the startComment

Mosley, yes. Judah, no.
Also, Castillo was horribly shot BEFORE he fought Hatton, and frankly I find it hard to believe that anyone would disagree. Tszyu is really the only great name on The Hitman's resume, and Kostya was nearly 36 when they fought. I also believe that Collazo deserved a decision against Hatton.
Still, it's a bit silly to claim that Hatton isn't an elite fighter (or at least was at one point). I mean, capturing a Ring belt and remaining at the top of your division for such a long time pretty much makes you "elite" by default.Comment
