Yeah I'm not so sure Hatton is an elite fighter. Shamelessly ducked witter, looked not so great against lazcano (although it was a fun fight), knocked out badly by floyd, got slapped around by collazo.. He could step his game up by taking on Kendall Holt, or Ricardo Torres, or put at least a little effort into his lame ass excuse for ducking witter. He says he talks too much crap and doesn't want to offer him a payday, ok, then how about beating the man that beat witter, take on timothy bradley. Yeah, what else would piss off witter more than beating him without giving him a payday. Malinaggi looks terrible in his last 2 fights, but a win against Malinaggi would offer some credibility to Hatton, however hatton's win against Castillo meant NOTHING. He clearly lost his last fight before fighting Hatton and it was painfully obvious that he was a shot fighter then, and has gone on to lose some more.

But at the moment Hatton is seen as an Elite boxer. WHo knows....if he fought Cotto and Cotto beat Hatton, then how people view Hatton could change. But he hasnt been beat by those guys. He pushed PBF hard and beat everyone else hes ever fought.
Pushed Floyd hard? Are you ****ing kidding, FM hardley broke a sweat, he looked like he'd just had a walk in the park. I'm serious man, i dont want to completely disrespect Hatton but Floyd showed patience and you could see from an early stage in the fight on Floyds face that he knew what he was doing and knew what was going to happen, he'd seen that **** a million times in the gym

no, he stopped the shadows of kostya and jose, these two guys would have blown hatton out of the ring in their primes, he got them when they were old and battle worn, also i think hatton is a very good fighter but just short of elite

Its a shame others can't see this, apart from these two fighters, since movin g to world level (excluding wbu!) he's struggled against Urango and Collazo and got sliced up by Maussa albeit before winning by ko, got ko'd by FM and won a tough battle against a retired restaraunter

He's 29. His first significant fight was in June , 2005. When was his prime?

I'm not saying he's out of his prime physically because I don't know for sure, but what good can it do your body when you balloon up after every single fight? And we are talking about a guy who's had almost 50 professional fights. Look at his last fight against Juan Lazcano, sure he won the fight easily, but he sure didn't look very impressive in that win.
