He fought Paul Williams once but did he win?

No, If he won in a clear fight then Paul Williams would have this kind of leverage in getting the Margarito fight.

William's doesn't have any leverage. He is 1 - 1 versus Quintana and should settle matters there before even contemplating getting a big money fight.

Other than his razor thin decision over Margarito he has no other notable wins.

But he has the WBO, I think Williams should tell his promoter to get him little Berto in the ring and secure some more leverage with that little green belt. It happens in 2009 no matter what.

His posts are always 5 times longer then they should be.. they are just bulked up. He thinks that by writing a lot it means that what he writes has substance.. sorry to say but he's wrong.

so in other words Margarito accepted his defeat and won avenge his loss?

avenging is part of boxing history that is why we get Trilogy like Vazquez/Marquez or Barrera/Morales

If no name in Paul Williams to get leverage then what about Margarito himself the man of the hour.

That's not what is being said. Margarito is cashing in on his recent success before fighting Williams again. But it isn't like Floyd's decision to not fight Tony or Cotto because he has faced him before and will face him again, for sure if both guys retain their titles into 2009.

put on the table 20 mil or more he will fight them

Mayweather already did what he wanted to do he build his legacy and got his 5 WBC titles that he brags about, He build himself in and out of the ring and now he is a celeb.

while Margarito just won Cotto and the time he was calling Mayweather he was coming from a win from Maneul Gomez who literally nowbody knew he was a contender at LW against Mosely which Mosely KOed him with one punch in 11 round.

What more could you ask for his career to go.

I think he wont be coming back because he done what he wanted to do and now he is moving one with his life to something else

when the 8 million was offered it would have been his highest purse. He rejected that and fought Mitchell for much less, and then bought out his contract for over 500,000. I know floyd was unwilling to do it then, much less now, that's why I'm talking about Paul Williams in 09 and not floyd.

Long time reader, first time poster. What's up guys.

D, I can see your point, but don't you think Tony deserves this fight? Odlh has one more fight left. Paul will still be there. Why aren't PW's fans clamoring for a shot at Odlh?

                    Tony already paid his dues.

williams KOed quintana in 1 round. I'd say that business if finished between them.

willliams and margarito on the other hand...
