in my opinion a combination of margarito's fighting style (brawler 100%), chin, and strength are what make him...
but every fighter has something that make him as good as he is.
i think if you take out the chin (in the equation i just wrote at the start of my post) then i think he wouldnt have gotten as far...
someone like cotto would have stopped him had he not had such a good chin...
his chin DEFINATELY keeps him in the fight...
even if he fought mayweather tomorrow...you couldnt go to sleep in that fight or change the channel even if it were the start of the 12th round and margarito had lost EVERY round so far...
he has the strength...the chin...and the style to still pull off a win...
and thats another thing that makes him exciting.
he's certainly not going to outbox a mayweather...but towards the end of the fight he can finally catch him with that ONE GOOD SHOT and could turn it all around...
but i think if he didnt have the chin he would lose more than he has...i think he would have 3 or 4 more losses on his record possibly if his chin wasnt as good...especially given the style he fights in...
if not for the chin i think cintron could have won at least one of the two fights with him and i think cotto could have stopped him because cotto (every now and then in the fight) would plant his feet and swing for the fences...
so margarito's chin is a wonder of the world if you ask me...
if i seen him get knocked down i would be extremely surprised (from a head shot that is...body shot wouldnt surprise me).Comment
