You say that but since Holyfields been shot, who else has stopped him and beat him down like James did? James has fought everyone that would fight him at heavyweight. James hasnt ducked anybody, I dont see how you could question his brass.

dude larry freakin donald beat holyfield for christ sake. your acting like holyfield fought great comp since he has been shot. also holyfield was giving it to him until he hit a wall. there was no doubt that toney was going to KO him i picked toney to KO him. im not questioning his brass or anything but to say that he has more than roy when he hasnt fought anyone with a pulse is beyond me.

I’m not gonna be like the rest of these kats and bash you for your question...but the question itself has a very simple answer...Roy is a smart man...he knew Ruiz was a chump...he knew he could put on some pounds move up and toy with Ruiz all he wanted because Ruiz's inferior skills posed no thread to him what so ever. He knew it was now or never. He knew that the next guy to fight Ruiz would take the belt and his chance to "make history" along with it. The key guy here is John "I suk ballz" Ruiz because I could almost guarantee that if any other heavyweight was holding that belt Roy would not have moved up...do you think he would have fought Lewis or one of the Klitcho Bros? even kats like Tua or Rahkman or Peter....no effing way...Roy knew that this was his one chance and he took it...at the expense of sorry ass J. Ruiz...once Roy got what we wanted he high tailed it out of there never to return...unless Ruiz gets some other cheap ass belt somehow…basically Roy made Ruiz his ***** cuz he knew he could…he went up to HW used and abused Ruiz and called it a day....Can't blame Roy for taking what was there...specially from a chump like Ruiz...

I wish he did stay at HW... but rjj was asking for too much money to fight dangerously huge guys like lennox and wlad.

rjj should've fought the smaller HWs though like Byrd, Holyfield and Toney... that would've been ok imho.
