Totally agree on this1 with Roach. I don't know what happened to his clear vision as he said Manny could beat Oscar...

I said before... this is going to be bad for B-Hop. I mean even Calzaghe's ''slapping'' was way too much for him. Went into wrong corners... one of the biggest fake low blows in history... tried it again in the 11th... at his age the work rate was way too much for him. In the JT fights he had his usual tactic to destroy everything but later on he went to do something on his own. Against Winky he only was destroying. Again Calzaghe he only was destroying and did nothing else. We ain't talking about a competitor anymore in Hopkins... he's out to make ppl look bad and act afterwards as he should have won like a kindergarten child.

He noted after the fight that Calzaghe was throwing 5 punches but only 2 were landing. I think if Pavlik lands 2 hands every time you know what's going to happen. Pavlik also has long arms so he ain't needs to come to close to Hopkins to hit him. Pavlik is a beast... this will be very bad. Usually you can't bet against B-Hop because he knows what he does but this time he's on the wrong end... even that shows you that he's done... I ain't expected Calzaghe to stop him and I never did any1 else... but at this time in his career I would be deeply surprised if he survives the final bell... 8th or 9th round TKO... if not sooner

therefore, the same ppl who doubt calzaghe's abilities before that fight, still do.

so joe fights roy jones, and hopefully will look better, erasing doubt.......
There's no1 who !!!!''really''!!!! doubts it... if Pavlik was Calzaghe no1 would doubt that decision... but because of the Calzaghe-hatin out there... ppl act like Hopkins won... You got to see that every European who comes over got to be a combination of a Muhammad Ali-SRR-RJJ-SRL- version to get respect. Because they all overrated who only fought bums until they came 2 America... that's the way it is...

Calzaghe won clear... he ain't looked good... but who looks good against Hopkins... we all will find out more about Calzaghe if he should fight Pavlik. That's the one... this is going to show us who he is... until then don't act ******ed... if you think that Hopkins won you should probably stop watching boxing. Hopkins landed some clean punches... but it's not enough to land one or two clean punches in a round and get outworked the whole time. There is a kind of ratio... if you land clean punches you of course don't havve to land as many clean as ''slap'' punches... but if there stands 2 clean punches per round... against 20 ''slapping punches'' you can't win that round... so I don't know what the hell is going with these dudes...

And that comes from somebody who doesn't even like Calzaghe match... before his match with Hopkins... I was for Hopkins (until he became the biggest joke ever)... now I will root for RJJ and if he fights Pavlik I will root for Pavlik... so plz don't hate *looooooooooooooooooool* just common sense... how a good friend of mine likes to say

I was never a Hopkins fan, but I also don't want to see the guy get hurt. What is he, 43? Not a good age to still be boxing at. The only reason that this is not suicide is the fact that he is a defensive fighter and thus may be able do just enough to last the entire fight. But let's be honest, he has almost no chance of beating Pavlik.

I think B-Hop is a bit overrated. His only recent ,credible big win was against Tarver. Trinidad, Oscar and Winky, were too small in terms of weight. He shouldn't be consider as a Hall of Famer. Please retire, don't bore us anymore!

ur a ****in idiot. hopkins and "overrated" dont belong in the same sentence. the man held the middleweight crown for over 10 years.....had like 20 consecutive defenses......then move all the way up to light heavyweight, and didn't just win a title, he beat the RECOGNIZED light heavyweight champ of the world........your style doesn't have to be crowd pleasing to be in the hall of fame. your resume does.

I don't really wanna see this fight. Not cuz I'm worried Hopkins will get hurt or KO'd, cuz I doubt that. But he will lose and there's no point to this. Hopkins just don't got enough left to take a guy like Pavlik. He's had to good a career to turn into a Holyfield.

If he was normal it would be well past time to retire but he's shown that he always has some trick up his sleeve.
Some of you are acting as if he has been getting his butt kicked which he has not.
He lost a fight to one of the best p4p fighters today and a very hungry 'at the time' Taylor which isn't bad for a 40+ guy.

The main reason i'd pick Pav to win is because of his slugging style which Hopkins had a lot of trouble with when Taylor started pushing.

Even still Hopkins could fight until he's 50 and not get "beat up" but he may get beat on points bad again.

pavlik doesn't fight the same way as calzaghe rushing in throwing punches every second. he has more calculated pressure. this is probably a good thing style wise for hopkins, he hits 1000 times harder though. this is probably a bad thing for hopkins.

I think Hopkins is one of the greatest fighters of all time. I appreciate the true geniuses of the sport, James Toney, Roy Jones, and my man B-Hop. He'll be closer to 44 than 43 for this fight though. When I first heard the matchup I felt scared for B-Hop, but who knows he just might pull this off. He'd have his way with Pavlik in his day at the middleweight division, but now he might just be able to disengage him to sneak away with the decision. It will be close, and hard to score. Calzaghe rarely landed clean punches against Hopkins, but it's hard to tell when punches are barely missing, and Pavlik has an extremely high workrate. Still, while the odds are against BHop pulling out the W, I'd bet any amount of money he will finish this fight on his feet.
