yeah those rankings are kinda flawed with Grant being so high but the hw division back then was clearly much greater. just lewis, holyfield, ibeabuchi and tua are better than the 10 present top hw's.The Ring Top 10 Heavyweights in 1998:

i was curious so i looked up grant's resume.
by the end of '98 grant was undefeated at 27-0.
he was on a 4 fight ko streak. knocking out obed sullivan , david izon , jorge luis gonzalez and al cole. the combined record of the 4 at the time he fought them was 102-9-1. this is in addition to a solid win over ross puritty and koing corey sanders a couple years earlier.
can't really blame ring at the time.Comment
