    Oscar De La Hoya

    John John Molina
    Rafael Ruelas
    Genaro Hernandez
    Jesse James Leija
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Pernell Whitaker
    Hector Camacho
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Ike Quartey
    Oba Carr
    Felix Trinidad
    Shane Mosley
    Arturo Gatti
    Javier Castillejo
    Fernando Vargas
    Shane Mosley
    Bernard Hopkins
    Ricardo Mayorga
    Floyd Mayweather Jr

    Won 39 (KO 30) + lost 5* (KO 1)

*Every last one of his losses were controversial. Besides the loss going up to middleweight to fight p4p#1 Bernard Hopkins.

Then you have Antonio Margarito who has only went 1-1 with elite fighters. Lost to Paul Williams(Then ran from a rematch) and beat Cotto.

After a long hard career Oscar De La Hoya has one fight left and you think he is ducking this fool?

Why is De La Hoya held to a different standard than anyone else?

De La Hoya's record and Resume is probably the best active in boxing today. No one has fought as many top fighters as him. I don't blame him for not wanting an ugly fight with Margarito as his farewell bout.

His level of opposition has been very high and he probably does have the best resume of any active boxer right now but he has become more a promoter than boxer nowadays and he does look like he wants the fight with the most money over the most dangerous fight.

The Mayweather loss and the first Mosley loss wasn't controversial IMO.

He has a great resume, But he needs to pass the flame onto the next Mexican, Julio Cesar Chavez gave Oscar his chance. I think he should give Margarito one.

i cannot complain with the opposition he has fought throughout his career,

            he fought the best,

but i t dont want to see him fight little pac just for the money,

The Mayweather fight brings up the age old boxing questions. You cant win a fight going backwords. You have to beat the champ, ect.

They were both split decisions. Not even to mention the fact Shane Mosley was on steroids and still lost on one score card.

I think it's wrong to say you can't win a fight going backwards, especially if the fighter going backwards is landing the cleaner, better shots. Ineffective aggression doesn't win a fight.

Mosley tested positive after the second fight, not the first.

His loss to Tito and Mosley II are controversial. That's it.

Also, he has had just as many controversial wins....Quartey, Whitaker, Sturm.....
