There are nearly 30 million Mexicans/Mexican Americans in the US. The fight was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Most Mexicans lived in California, just 6 hours drive to Vegas.

There are about 4 million Puerto Ricans in the United States. The majority of them living in East Coast, a plane away.
