Ruslan Chagaev Training, Eyes Valuev vs. Ruiz Winner

Back in June, WBA heavyweight champion Ruslan Chagaev was sidelined after suffering a complete tear of the Achilles tendon in his left ankle. The injury forced him to withdraw from his July mandatory title defense against Nikolai Valuev. It was not the first time that Chagaev was sidelined with an injury or illness. The WBA would later order an interim bout between Valuev and former champion John Ruiz, scheduled for August 30. Chagaev would have to fight the winner in the next few months or risk being fully stripped. [details]

These have become the yawn trio. I could care less.

Ruslan shows no sign of taking a serious fight without some ailment.
Valuev is a monster but not a particularly dangerous one to the top tier.
Ruiz is Ruiz. He could put me to sleeps after a case of Red Bulls.

It doesn't matter what happens with these three as it impacts the Heavyweight picture nada.

A healthy Chagaev would be good for the heavyweight division. I just hope he's as good as before when he returns.

I don't disagree but I guess I have kind of given up hope. One to many instances for me. I guess I am a skeptic at heart. I also don't think Vitali will ever fight again.

              Error in story

Ruslan Chagaev is not the WBA champion anymore. That title is vacant and Nikolai Valuev and John Ruiz will fight to fill the vacancy later this month. Chagaev is "the champion in recess" and will lose all rights if he cannot fight for the title by June of next year.
