I have an assumption that it has a lot to do with the hate he gets. Keep in mind that the hair is not seen on any of the guys above, so it shouldn't be a problem to have his face on the "forums" button.
Would non-Margarito fans respect him more if he lost the Mexi-mullet?

Mullets are now fashionable. They also serve to intimidate ones opponent as you saw last Saturday.Comment

true, but the resurgence of the mullet and mohawk is mainly dominant among trendy suburbanite kids who think they're cool. the 80's are back, thanks to hype trend setters like kanye west, lupe fiasco (tho i like his music), and others who have brought back retro 80's punk and hip hop clothing with all that astronaut looking gear and neon pink ****...but does this fit the profile of a hardened, fighter who came from poverty? i can see those pretty boy, new-school wannabe ufc kids who come from orange county mansions, drive raised 4x4 trucks, and start training at 25 but swear they've been fighting in the streets for years and lived the rough life, but margarito? a mexican champ? he should have a shaved head, or a gangster fade.Comment

First of all that is not a mullet, it would be more of a rat tail. If you want to see a mullet and one that is made to intimidate watch Marco Antonio Barrera's early fights, his was brutal. The bigger the mullet got, the more viscous and quick the stoppages, until he cut it to keep from risking the lives of other fighters.
