You gotta remember he never had an amatuer career. and a lot of people put a lot of preassure on him cause of his last name. Slowly but surely he will begin to grow cause it looks like he has an excellent style and a great chin.

If he was really sick during the first fight, then the rematch should be a time to make a statement.

For the record I had Chavez winning 96-94.

Chavez jr won the first fight easily...people were upset that he didn't ko vanda...that was it...chavez dominated every round...vanda had his moments in some rounds but he didn't throw enough to win the rounds..chavez jr outworked him easily...fools here just hate him because he is mexican....the truth is that he will be a future champ...he is only 20 yrs old and building his skills...if any of you think he is a coward for not stepping it up..then you must reallly think gayweather and Jotto are big time cowards for taking over 200 amateur fights before stepping in the ring for real....you can't blame chavez jr for making a buck while in training...

          Jr. Won 7-3

Chavez jr. did win the fight. He won 7 of the 10 rounds, but by the way he walked to his corner after the last round, it looked like if it would have been a championship bout, Jr. would have lost by tko. Like it's been stated, jr. did not have an amateur career, most of the guys he has faced have had over 100 fights, although most of those have been amateur. Jr. has only had the fights he's had as pro. The crowd booed him and threw stuff not because he won, but because they wanted a knockout. Also, Chavez sr was pissed after the fight and although he was in rehab for alcoholism said he was going to postpone his treatment to properly train his sons. Since then Omar has had a 1 round knockout, now we'll just have to wait and see what Jr. has learned. I hope he trained for a better defense, because that is his great weakness.
