i would say Floyd
people may disagree cause he never actually defended his WBC welterwight title against an actual welter but he did fight and beat the best he fought and to be a champ in 5 wieght division is a great achievement
Calzaghe however only of late has looked to test himself against world class competition if he was to have more notable wins on his resume then he would be a real chance of being considered better Calzaghe is still fighting and has a chance to be considered better maybe it should be revisted again in several years time when picking fighter of the decade

Well not to hate on Cal, but yes Floyd was definitely the better fighter, and has a much better resume.
Calzaghe can walk away with an excellent legacy if he beats RJJ, then goes on to beat Pavlik. Important to remember that Joe's story isnt finished yet.

KJB you hit the nail on the head when you said Roy and Pavlik , the current version of Roy and also 43 yr old Bhop will go against him when diehards discuss his legacy in years to come he really does need Pavlik to seal his legacy and it could blow up in his face like a grenade .

I think getting 5 titles in 5 different weight classes is great but reigning your division for 10 years is great too so that's just personal preferance.
Floyd's opposition is questionable and he ducked the best fighters. Calzaghe fought the better competition and didn't duck anyone.
Floyd's skills are pretty damn good, better than Calzaghe's but they are 2 completely different styles, they are both great at what they do.
