I now know why Spinks throws only 5 punches a round

But anyway, Spinks would probably be too weight drained to compete. I hear the guy walks around 190...
not only Cotto but all the other names mention I think he could win some of them.

He could beat Clottey and Margarito he moves around alot with good speed nad a southpaw which is a nightmare style for Margarito

Cory Spinks once threw a punch that was so fast it traveled back in time and killed Hitler in Berlin.

He is a good boxer. I saw the 1st fight with Judah and agree that he would be a problem for alot of the top WW.

No, the reason he went up was for money.

yeah the money is in DHL and also with Mayweather. He couldn't make the weight and even came on the weight-in overweight.

He got some weight issues so maybe it could even be he is retiring or maybe even fighting at SMW

it not easy as you make out to be.

                    this could explain abit:

and in the winter it would be harder to lose weight too

While Taylor (26-0-1, 17 KOs) weighed 159.8 pounds, just under the 160-pound limit, Spinks came in heavy at 161 pounds and needed 90 minutes of the two hours allotted under Tennessee rules to lose the weight. When he returned, Spinks made weight at 159.8 pounds for the fight Saturday (HBO, 10:15 p.m. ET).

Spinks (36-3, 11 KOs) said his extra pound was simply an accident. He has been weighing himself for weeks on the same scale that he had with him in training camp and at his hotel.

The official weigh-in, however, was conducted using the Tennessee commission's scale and the two were not exactly the same.

"It was just a miscalculation," Spinks said. "I was very surprised."

Spinks said he ate a breakfast of oatmeal and fruit Friday morning and weighed 159.8 on his own scale after eating. He said he took off the extra weight by simply walking around the streets of Memphis on a gorgeous sun-splashed day.

"This is no monkey wrench in my plans," Spinks said. "I feel great. I feel strong."

Kevin Cunningham, Spinks' trainer and manager, said Spinks began his training camp two months ago at 187 pounds. Spinks was 162 at the WBC's mandated seven-day pre weigh-in last week.
187.... My mistake but still...he must pig out between fights.

He lost close to 30 lbs in 2 months... eek...
