Haye's biggest bombs couldn't get this glass chinned journeyman out of there.
Klitschko had more than 10 more fights than Haye did at the time so he was more experienced on top off his amature background and sucess in the Olympics, plain and simple and he also fought lesser fighters. David Haye fought 10 bums(in Haye's own words) and jumped straight in there with the current IBO cruiserweight champion. There is just a different level of quality opposition between the two fighter's losses. Klitschko was stopped in his 24th professional fight by a guy that was suppose to be a tune up and and was known as the division's stepping stone. Haye lost in his 10th fight against a good champion that was very experienced and has beaten some very good fighters. Like Klitschko, Haye was also dominating the fight before he was stopped from fatigue so i really can't see the point that you all are trying to make. Anyone can see this double standard here.

It is unfair to bring up Wlad's amateur background without bringing up Haye's which was also extensive. David has accomplished a lot in his almost 6 years as a pro, but his two biggest wins are the way past his best Mormeck and a glass chinned journeyman in Maccarinelli, and a year ago he was a virtual unknown. That he jumps to HW and expects to fight the number one guy already is laughable.
So there is a shame in a young green contender being floored by the undisputed cruiserweight champion? Mormeck is a very good champion and it was the first time that Haye stepped up this far in class. You are only bringing up the bad and not acknowledgeing the good. I actually picked Mormeck to beat Haye becuase i felt that he wasn't ready. I can say that Klitschko has been stopped and florred by a journeyman in Purity and stopped by another jounerman in Cory Sanders. Sanders lost to Hassim Rachman of all people so come on. Lets not bring up Klitschko's obvious flaws. Klitschko was dropped by Davarell Williamson and was busted up by Tony Thompson early on. Could have been interesting if Thompson only had power.

Also, since when does journeyman only lose 1 time? Macrinelli was a good champion and many boxing experts seen this fight as being 50/50 going in. Haye impressively took him apart in two rounds with one single punch. Since when has Klitschko unifyed any belts like that? I have even admitted that Haye needs to prove himself before he fights Klitschko, but some of you are really being too hard on him like he has no shot. When you put two power punchers in the same ring that has questionable chins and stamina, then i see it as a 50/50 fight.

At 236, Haye looks fat, and will certainly be slower. His conditioning will be worse and if he loses the speed advantage, he'll be lucky to be a top 50 HW with his chin and defense. I'd give anything to see him in there with a guy like Eddie Chambers, even Odlanier Solis, and end this hype train once and for all.
Lets just see how he does at heavyweight before we make assumptions. You all are saying how he is too small, has a weak chin and lacks defense, when you all are the same people who are very quck to boost up Wlad's resume if he was to beat Haye like it is an all time great one.

There is a bit of a difference between 5 rounds and 11. Between a 250 lb durable HW and a guy with several fights at 171. Between getting seriously hurt and basically falling down from exhaustion while backing away, about 5 seconds after being hit. Like you say, Wlad's competition up till the Puritty fight was not that great and the overall competition that he and Haye had faced before their first loss was similar, except Wlad was younger.

Mormeck wasn't undisputed CW champ. Hmmm.... Lennox Lewis was knocked out by Rahman, I guess according to your logic, that makes him a bum. Against Williamson, Wlad had a 1 sec flash knockdown, where he wasn't hurt at all, just caught off balance, unlike Haye's fight with current SMW Mock, who had Haye seriously hurt with a single glancing shot.

Last time I checked, Wlad unified when he fought Ibragimov. Even though he has only 21 fights against limited opposition, Haye has been hurt and dropped several times. No one has ever had success at HW after being stopped in the lower weights that I've heard of and to think Haye will automatically clean up or beat the best HW out there is a bit laughable really.

Wlad's resume might not be ATG, but it's still many many times better than Haye's.

Haye would lose to Klitschko, Chagaev, Valuev, Dimitrenko, Virchis, Thompson, Chambers, Peter, and a number of others.

This is getting to be a joke. It used to be just Limeys, but now the Black Hopers are riding this train. I warn you, you're going to look very bad.

              Who said that?

We really need to see Haye fight at Heavyweight first before we kick him in the wheels when he hasn't even gotten started.

I wonder if Haye wasn't so brash and arrogant that he would get this much unnessarily stick? He's talking the big game and a lot of people didn't seem to like it so they knock on him because of it?

Wlad being younger does not mean that he didn't have more fights than Haye and was more accomplished overall by that point. Haye was not knocked out by Thompson, he was on his feet swinging and he disputed the stoppage as well. Klitschko looked like he wanted to quit against Purity.

When Bell and Momeck fought back in 06, they were unifying the titles. Becoming the first unification match since Holfyield/Qawi and the winner was the UNDISPUTED cruiserweight champion. No the winner was not the unified champion but was known as he ring magaizine champion and true champion at cruiserweight. Bell won the first fight and Mormeck won the rematch so he had those titles.

Rachman was a bum and we all know that. He hit Lewis with a lucky punch and no he is not going to be in the hall of fame becuase of it. One punch does not make you elite all of a sudden. Need i remind you of what happed in the rematch when Lewis was prepared and ready? He won by spectacular knockout and was even winning the first fight until he caught with a ****** punch when he had his hands down. I remember HBO doing a documentary of Sanders before the fight and he was actually about to retire and finsh with his golfing career. He was in no shape or form ever a good or dominate champion. Carl Thopsom even at that point was a lot better than Sanders or Purity. They both were very good fighters that had some good days, but Thompson had the longevity, was multiple cruiserweight champion and won many Euorpean titles as well. He was just in an entire different league.

I said that Wlad has never unified in the fashion that Haye did. Haye scored a one punch knockout in the second round. Klitschko was booed for putting on a boring display, was critisized after the fight and also won the fight on points. How is that impressive. Its good that he won the title and picked up the other belt, however Haye looked better.

Thats pretty obvious. However, Haye has a better resume than Klitschko when Klitschko had only 21 fights. Wlad didn't start fighting ranked opponents until he had over 30 fights. Klitschko and Haye are two of my favorites so don't think I'm biased, but you have to admit Haye would be a live underdog against Wlad and any punch from either of them could end the fight. Its not fair to put down Haye when the fighter that you are backing suffered more losses in a more embarassing fashion than Haye has.

Wlad has proved that he made the adjustments (stamina, pace, defense) with Manny that he lacked with Fritz that lead to his losses. If Wlad was a reckless brawler like he was with Fritz training him then Haye would have a much better chance. The way Manny has Wlad fighting is going to make it almost impossible for Haye to win. Wlad will jab him and clinch when Haye rushes in and start to drop the right when Haye gets tired in the 5th and Haye doesn't survive past 8 before getting KO.

Klitschko didn't start fighting ranked opponents until he had over 30 fights. Haye has 21 fights, is already undisputed cruiserweight champion and was the best in his division. Haye ALSO was winning the fight and gassed out, just like your boy.

You say that Wlad was only 21 years, however he was the Olympic gold medalist and had a good amature background. Haye was only 24 at the time and only fought 10 bums. My point is that its just not right to critizise a fighter when Wlad has been through the same things and even worse. He has been stopped 3 times.

Thompson obviously wasn't shot. He was IBO cruiserweight champion. He was also a full fledge cruiserweight for his entire career and never fought at light heavyweight from what i remember.

I am a big fan of Haye and Wlad's becuase i like the big skilled punchers, but i am just fair on both sides.
well,,the heavyweightn division was very good back when wlad was very young whereas haye had a much weaker cruiserweight division to rip through without the need of that much experience due to the lack of talent
