De La Hoya-Pacquaio for World Catchweight title.

The upcoming mega-fight between Oscar De La Hoya and the Pound-for-Pound king Manny Pacquiao scheduled for laer this year will be for the World Catchweight title. When speaking to Oscar about the prospect of becoming a 7 weight world champion he said, "I am thrilled at the chance. I already won the titles at 130, 135, 140, 147, 154 and 160. But I feel this Catchweight title would really cement my legacy", Pacquiao, although clearly out matched physically by the much bigger De La Hoya also said he was thrilled at this chance, "Oscar is the catchweight king", he told us, "To be beat him would etch my legacy into history".

Golden Boy Promotions spokesperson told us that he felt the fight was a dangerous one for Oscar, "So what if Oscar is 2 foot taller and 20 pounds heavier? Manny is a great fighter, he just debuted at 135 and showed he kept his speed and power at that weight. Clearly he will carry that up another 12 pounds to Welterweight. Oscar is outmatched in this fight and a win would make history".

          Thanks brotha,

Thing is. They really are trying to say that Oscar has no real advantages over Pac!

          WTF!?!?!

Pointless fight, De la Hoya gains nothing if he wins other than Money. If Pacquiao loses then he looks bad even though he's at a significant size & weight disadvantage. The only good that comes out of this is if Pac-man wins

not true man, if DLH wins he can challenge Margarito for the WBA Welterweight title.

wait a sec scratch that, DLH would call out Margarito for a fight at 150 ... winner would be the Undisputed Catchweight Champ.
