Should They Put A Weight Limit On HEavy Weights Again?

The big guys have always been around.
Valuev is ridiculously slow, easy to hit and can be outboxed, as 6'1, 225 lb Chagaev showed (and many others who did not get the decision over him).
Fields is a glass chinned slugger with no talent and was knocked out by a 6'3, 220 lb man.
Klitschko is actually 6'5, around 235-240 lbs, no bigger than Lewis or Bowe. He was also knocked out by 6'2, 225 lb Brewster.
The fights between the 'little' heavyweights are no better these days.Last edited by TheGreatA; 07-31-2008, 03:03 PM.Comment

Even without the weight limit HW's have had to find smaller guys to fight to keep up with the competition....
Tyson Vs Spinks
Louis Vs Conn
Ali Vs Moore
Marciano (even though he was a small HW) Vs Charles & MooreLast edited by Live Dog; 07-31-2008, 03:10 PM.Comment

Althought being a good idea, it would cause some problems.
What if a figther is 1% above the limit? You can't call off a heavyweight unification bout. Getting rid of water is much easier in a small time than getting rif of fat.Comment

Well, they shouldnt do a 24hr weigh in. They should pass the body fat % well in advance to avoid stuff like that.Comment

didnt 6.1 225brewster beat wlad and his the chunky one.
and didnt chagev 6.1 220 beat valuev?
even ruiz at 6.8 and 230almost beat valuev.
point is the biggest guys will always draw the crowd and less talented superheavy divison would be even more boringComment
