Serious Question regarding ESPNClassic and ESPN2...

Usually they'll replay fights on various boxers such as Robinson, Louis, Castillo, Ali, Gatti or Frazier or even Tyson. I'm usually browsing what fights are scheduled and if they're good I time them to be recorded on the DVR.

However, what about Sugar Ray Leonard fights? I have yet to see (in many months or perhaps never) a fight aired on ESPNClassic or ESPN2 with Leonard in them. I'd love to see his first clash with Durán, his classic fight with Hearns and his fight with Hagler in his illustrious and wonderful career. How come they're not aired? Does someone still own the rights to those fights or something?

    Or is it something else?

PS: On Saturday, there's gonna' be a fight marathon on Ali on ESPNClassic, and they're gonna' only show Ali/Frazier 3, they should've put the first one in as well but I can understand them not showing it since it's a series of highlight fights of Ali's career.

They have shown Sugar Ray Leonard fights. I just hate the fact that they basically show the same fights over and over again. There are so many more boxers and fights that they could show but don't it pisses me off.

Top Rank has the rights to Sugar Ray bouts and they air on Versus a lot. Hagler's too. Same with hearns.

Ah so that explains it. I don't have Versus, though. Damn!

BTW, I just remembered: anyone know why they re-air PPV fights sometimes and other times they don't?

Pavlik Taylor 2 was re-aired before Ibragimov fought Klitschko.
        Cotto-Mosley was re-aired a week after.
        And so was Barrera-Pacquiao.

Nevertheless, Diaz-Pacquiao was never re-aired on HBO, nor will they re-air Cotto/Margarito from what I'm gathering on the schedule. :S

that's kinda strange, as I thought most PPV main events are aired a week later that following Saturday.

like take this upcoming Saturday with the Judah-Clottey fight.

no Cotto-Margarito replay? or will HBO just go into it's Boxing After Dark coverage.

You are wrong.... They replayed the Diaz/Pacman fight and will show the Cotto/Margarito fight.

That is all true. But a word of warning, there will be no replay of Casamayor-Marquez. HBO PPV is distibuting it but not producing it.

                    I wasn't expecting a Wednesday or a Thursday.

Now I'm a bit upset with Marquez/Casamayor not being aired, but someone will undoubtedly post sopcast links or links to it days after the fight.

Anyway, thanks for the responses! You've been helpful!
