I don't like how people are not objective about Clottey's performance against Margarito. He performed well but is not the underrated beast people make him out to be. Here are some facts that people tend to ignore that played a role in the fight

    1. Margarito was coming of off a 9 month layoff, in which he had fought 1:38 against Manuel Gomez, in effect he hadn't really fought since his victory over Cintron 20 months earlier.

    2. Margarito hurt his ankle in training camp and it was widely reported that he had to be off of his feet for a few days before the fight.

    3. Clottey did not break any hand, in fact he admitted in his next fight against Corrales on showtime in the interview that he had only suffered from swollen hands.

    4. Margarito injured his wrist in the fight, to the extent that he did have surgery on his wrist after the fight and before he was able to resume training.

I'm not saying Clottey is not good or not worthy of another shot, I just see Margarito breaking him down this time. Margarito was able to throw a record amount of punches and still win despite actually being injured and out of peak condition, Clottey completely disappeared because he had pain in his fists. Style wise Clottey was making him look bad but so has just about everyone else early, I see the rematch turning out differently and I'd bet all my points on it. One more thing Clottey fades late and seems like he doesn't want to fight anymore, aside from the Corrales fight it has always happened, even in recent fights against very average competition.

Clottey did not fade against Alvarez and he TKO'd Cruz ( I think it was BS stoppage though). He has been fighting good solid fighters, but an impressive win over Zab will put him in against some top WW.

Maybe not fade, but definitely did not finish impressively or have that extra gear that en elite fighter should have against Shamone Alvarez or Flores, those guys are not even B level fighters and he couldn't close the show.

I favor him over Judah because Judah fades impressively every time while Clottey just slows down, but my point is I doubt either of these guys has it in him to beat a properly prepared Margarito, Cotto, or Williams.

I think the only thing Clottey has wrong is the stamina issue, he seems like he has everything else in place. Hopefully he at least will get to fight one of the Top 3 WW, then we will know for sure.

Two fighters who really don't like each other are scheduled to meet in the ring? Cancel the fight! They might hit one another in anger!!!

True, once he gets his next shot at either one of the three, assuming he beats Zab, there will be no question whether he is at that level or not.

Zab by split decision. Zab is going to knock clottey down(flash knock down) with in the first 3 rounds. Clottey is not a pressure or a flashy fighter, so Zab won't tire out.

If "SUPER JUDAH" comes to the ring its curtains. BUT if the irrogant Zab that is always bull ****tin comes well you never know!

That's commendable that there's at least one Margarito fan that will admit that. Joshua Clottey is seriously underrated. There is ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION that Clottey is going to get the victory over Judah.

I'm positive that a Clottey/Margarito rematch will happen sooner rather than later.
