Why doesn't Clottey move up in weight?

Why not? He lives in relative obscurity in a division loaded with talent. Why not move up to 154 where the talent is much thinner and he'd have a better chance at being the man?

He won't be in relative obscurity if he beats Judah this weekend.

He has a chance now @ WW, but he needs to get one more big fight after Zab, and win it. It should be against Margarito, Williams, Cotto, etc. Somebody...

Don't know about that. He needs to look impressive against Judah and even then he is still Joshua Clottey in a division where all the attention is on Marg, Cotto, and Williams. And even if one, two, or all three of those guys fall off the radar, by that time it will be Berto's turn.

Huh? He's fighting for the welterweight championship of the world on Saturday!

And, furthermore, he's fought at 154 before - when he couldn't get fights at 147. Now that he finally IS getting fights (Margarito, Corrales, Zab), you want him to move up?

He will have a title so people can't ignore him, he'll definitely have more attention than he does now and maybe a win could place him in line for a matchup with Cotto. I think it'll only get better for Clottey if he wins.

Why not? Who cares if your the fourth or fifth best at WW? At 154 he could be the man.

True about the title bringing recognition, but I doubt Cotto steps anywhere near Clottey after what happened on Saturday.

What did I just say? Did you read what I wrote at all? And this "new" idea you have is an old one - he already did that!

breathe......I'm not saying he should move up for just one fight, I'm saying he should move up permanently. Has he done that before?
