he wants mexicans to love him...and of course he has a better chance at winning against manny than antonio...fighting margarito there'd be a greater risk of losing for his last fight and it wouldn't make as much money as a fight with pacquiao

u must be crazy........oscar knows that is the fight the public wants to see. i'm not sure however, margarito is a fighter DLH wants to see.........

maybe in his prime, DLH boxes the sox off margarito, but this version of DLH has beaten who in the last few years??? fact is, i don't see ANYTHING the current version of DLH can do better than what cotto did against margarito. plus, its also a fact DLH gets tired down the stretch. and DLH has only been stopped once in his career, and it was by a body shot. what is magarito? a tremendous body puncher. he beats the **** out of oscar if they fight.

oscar wants his last fight to be against some1 he has a good chance of beating, he doesn't want to be embarrassed, b/c then he won't be able to retire.......

in other words, **** the public, oscar WILL NOT, fight margarito. margarito should be fighting PW anyway, **** oscar............
Glad to see you have an opinion. But......................There are a few things that you forget to mention. First off, Oscar has been beat in the last few years. Only by the #1 p4p fighter in the world on a split decision. That's not too bad considering that you make him out to be shot or something. Secondly, he is a pretty big guy even compared to Margarito. Alot of Mexican fans do not like Oscar because he is "Americanized", but that does not indicate that he is NOT proud of his herritage and is a very determined warrior in his own right. You mentioned that ODLH has little more than Cotto does, but ask yourself this. Have you ever seen Oscar hurt in a fight by a head shot? Does Cotto have a better defense? Is Cotto as hard of a puncher as Oscar? Oscar has never been hurt or close to being stopped other than the body shot that Hopkins hit him with. You have to realize that B-hop was a mddleweight his whole career and has alot more power than Margarito does. Oscar's defense is damn near flawless compared to Cotto's. Yes, Cotto is a good all around boxing example, but he lacks in defense and now apparently he lacks in determination. I could never picture Oscar giving up in a fight like that. he has too much heart and would surely catch Margarito hard and cause him to put on the brakes a little bit. I wish he would fight him and close the door on the Mexican American crossover dispute. It started with Julio Chavez and ends with Antonio Margarito. I would not bet against Oscar. Remember, alot of people thought the same way about Oscar fighting Mayorga and you see what happened there.
