But did it live up to the hype? Do u honestly feel that the casual fans who tuned in to 24/7 every week, and got all hyped up by the pre-fight antics, were all satisfied at the end of the fight? I highly doubt it.

This fight is one of many that people said didn't live up to the hype. I don't go by hype. Did anyone watching this fight think that we would get 2 sluggers fighting, or 2 top of the line boxers. I'll watch a Floyd-Dlh type fight over a Margs-Cotto type fight any day of the week.

You don't get it. First off, just worry about what you are concerned about, don't worry about what I or anyone should be. This is about as assinine a thought that I have read in a while. Get over your hang up of Floyd, and try being a fan for once. If boxing had a pension plan I could see your point. Floyd/Oscar was as mainstream as it get, yet it ****** ass, and turned many fans off who paid to see it. Yes it was a big mainstream fight, but was it a fight that brought new fans to the sport? I dont think so.

It turned off so many fans that later that year, mayweather was able to sell another 850K?? And in case you didn't know, 850K domestically is very high.

I don't think that it turned off a lot of people. Most people, EVEN CASUAL FANS, knew the fight was gonna be tactical. However, I don't think it really made the sport any better either. Gave it a peak, and helped Mayweather. Which is nice, but at the end of the day.. Mayweather capilatized off of that with only one fight. So, even he wasn't TREMENDOUSLY helped AFTER that fight. Not compared to what he could have made.
