He beat the guys "experts" considered the best at 147 in Judah, and Baldomir.. im not saying i had high regards for Baldomir because to me he wasn't an elite fighter, but ring magazine, etc had him as the welterweight champ
At 140, Floyd claimed that he had no interest in fighting Cotto. Floyd's own words......"Cotto is too green. He needs a few more tuneups before i would consider fighting him"

      LEVEL = PHYSICAL LEVEL

Oscar got owned as soon as he took on fighters his own size.

And his best wins were gifts.

      See?

      It's real easy.

Cotto's own team also said Miguel wasn't ready for Mayweather

            • The summit was always defined. Years before it was reached.
And reaching it and accomplishing it was a huge challenge in itself. One that few fighters will ever achieve.
              If you don't like it

            • Floyd get a free pass to go and do what others can't.
Because he's one of the few that can.
When the Margaritos and Cottos of boxing have won titles in 5 weightclasses, let me know.

            • I called Floyd a artist. A different breed of fighter.
You get 1 or 2 of them in every era if you're lucky.

            • A title fight @ 160lb is just as big a challenge as Antonio Margarito @ 147lb
So if Floyd came out of retirement and pursued that, I'd support it.

              I'd support either fight.
Floyd fought the toughest lightweight. People in the know knew this. Those who say Floyd avoided the toughest WW's are NOT in the know. There isn't a fighter at WW that he was supposed to face. So when a poster says floyd wanted to avoid or did avoid anyone, that is misinformation. It all goes back to Margs asking Floyd for a fight to his face. They say Margs walked up to Floyd's face to make it sound a whole lot tougher, and that Floyd just slinked his way out of the challenge. Arm chair fans lol. This is all Margs fans have as ammunition. Even Cotto's greatest fans have now jump ship and joined the Margarito bandwagon lol. Comical. Jab, Sin city, and a whole list of posters have joined up with Margarito fans and created the anti-Floyd brigade because otto lost lol. They hide behind this mask of "it was a great fight" crap. Your boy lost, and you bragged that he was the best. If you can't beat em, join em.

                  Some ****ing "LEGEND".

                  See how easy it is?

I thought DLH lost too, but you know what puts him above Floyd?

He didn't make any excuses to not make the fight.

                  He just did it.

                    But Mayweather isn't.

I'm not calling him a legend,

just more important to the sport of boxing than Floyd could ever dream of being.

DLH lost plenty of fights, but what he did do was at the very least, try to win against the best.

                    Floyd can't really say that.

                      I agree!

But he still stepped into the ring with the best opposition.

Floyd didn't in the later part of his career.
