Cotto won the first round, and 3,4,5 arguably 6 but from 7 on Margerito was clearly beating Cotto up. As soon as Cotto got his nose broken I think it was downhill from there, sure he flurried, but every time Margerito hit him in the body he buckled.

I do think the fight was unfair though, Margarito shouldn't be at welterweight.

why shouldnt he? There has been numerous guys margarito's size throught the history of the sport. Its actually a compliment you say it just shows how impressed you are with him. Weight classes are divided by weight there is nothing unfair with a guy weight 147 fighting in welterweight division. If a case were to be made about that it would be against paul williams who's 6 2 has a reach of a heavyweight and was willing to fight pavlik at 160.
