mayweather fought oscar de la hoya who is bigger and stronger than him BUT he fought a 34 year old past prime de la hoya who has pretty bad stamina in the later rounds and still won with a freaking split decision and could not even hurt de la hoya. lol even steve forbes hurt de la hoya. steve forbes is a little feather fisted. check boxrec.

cotto has way more power than zab judah, oscar de la hoya and definately more power than steve forbes lol.

cotto will definately cause de la hoya and mayweather to lose some blood for sure. and will most probably score at least on knockdown on mayweather and then go on to win a unanimous decision.

mayweather is definately a very good and skilled boxer and has a good chin. dare i say he is one of the most skilled boxers of all time. but he does not possess the warrior spirt that miguel cotto does.

mayweather is a good boxer. but which one of his fights is entertaining?

how long did it take for mayweather to get on ppv? 9 years

cotto? it took him 6 years.

cuz cotto is definately giving more entertaining fights. and mayweather is undefeated. that does not mean he is unbeatable. watch castillo-mayweather 1. then tell me.

Really showing your lack of knowledge here. Several of Floyd's fights have been very exciting, especially the ones prior to his move to WW.

Also, Cotto doesn't beat Floyd. I like Cotto but he doesn't have the necessary tools. He would find it too difficult to land on Mayweather and Floyd would just pick him apart all day. Floyd by a reasonable UD. The fight will never happen now though.

Cotto should have beat Margarito, so I'd pick him in a rematch. He's clearly the better fighter, he just doesn't have the stamina, but he might be able to do it the second time around. Still, Cotto is nowhere near Mayweather's level and would lose that fight badly

really? so then why was mayweather so shook when margarito was asking him for a fight?

he just does not have the warrior spirit.

A Floyd/Cotto match is so unlikely now, it's not even worth contemplating, IMO. What motivation would Floyd have in fighting a guy who just lost? And what would it take for Cotto to put himself back to that marketable level of status? Several legitimate wins and a win in a rematch with Margarito at least. The Cotto/Mayweather idea is all but dead now.
