If Mayweather were to come back and fight Margarito..

Mayweather would school Margarito, but he already publicly lied to Tony and then retired. If Antonio Margarito was truly a "bum" who makes for an "easy fight" for "easy money", why did Floyd avoid him?


I deal with facts. Lots of people were choosing Cotto because he was smarter, faster and a better overall boxer.

The funny thing is, most of Tonys opponents all have those advantages over him and the only one to edge Tony out for a victory is Paul Williams.


The fact remains, that skills don't mean **** when you're not in the ring using them.

Floyd avoided Margarito for a reason.

He didn't want to get his ass kicked like Cotto.

I never said Mayweather couldn't box better than Cotto. Rather, I stated that being the better boxer doesn't really matter in this case. The majority of Tonys opponents were all better in many attributes, but it didn't stop Margarito from putting an asswhooping down on them.

If Mayweather could stay away from margarito's punch all night (like i expect him to be able to) then he wins a UD...easily...

Whats dangerous in this situation though is that margarito can really change the fight around with one punch...

if he were to catch mayweather clean at any point in the fight (especially in later rounds where mayweather would believe he has it in the bag) he could win.

so it would be mayweather ud by a wide margin but you'd have to sit on the edge of your seat because margarito would present danger for the entire fight and THAT ALONE would make it very interesting.
