By interviewing the undercard winners, HBO made the undercards important regardless of the lack of name power in them. Thats one of the problems with PPV. The undercards have become some sort of formality untill the main event. Most of the time, it feels like you're shelling out 50 bones just for a 12 round fight. I think they need to sell the whole fight instead of just the main event to make the consumer feel like they are getting their money's worth.
yes the undercard didnt have names, but it WAS entertaining. putting some information on the undercard fighters for the promos for fights could make the fight a bigger event than what it normally is. just my opinion.
