Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins and Joe Calzaghe

Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins were both backed by HBO for a HUGE part of their careers, meaning they have more economics to make bigger fights than Calzaghe could. Calzaghe was only mainstream in the UK since 2006 so forget "ducking big names" "unwilling to fight outside of the UK" and other bull ****. Calzaghe never had the economics to make the likes of Sven Ottke fight him. Because of this, Hopkins and Jones' resume should be astronomically better than Calzaghe's due to the fact they could fight far bigger names but it's not.

Now lets use common sense for once ?

You can also rubbish the stero type that British boxers fight bums, the USA have the big networks SHOWTIME and HBO, their fighters get the better fights and it's nothing racist about it. In Calzaghe's case after he beat Eubank he could finally afford to make his months mortgage and you expect this dude to travel across the pound to fight a nobody in the hope he wins and gets put on Showtime or HBO?
