There is really no other money fight for him. He will never fight a Mexican in his farewell fight, he won't risk the Mexican fans turning on him. I don't think they've forgiven him for the beating he gave JCC.

But he'll fight another Chicano (Sergio)??? Makes no sense, the Mexican fans will not turn on a fighter who puts on a great performance and handles himself respectfully. The Chavez thing had a lot to do with respect. Oscar made it look like Chavez needed to respect him, Oscar was way bigger than him and Oscar caught Chavez at the tale end of his carreer.

A fight with Tony would be way different. Aint no one gonna turn on him if he treats Tony respectfully just as Tony and Cotto treated each other before and after thier fight. And the Mexican fans will see a challenge against Tony as a true and fair matchup, unlike his fights with Chavez. In a way, it's an avenue for Oscar to take to possibly get back a lot of the fans he lost when he fought Julio, by making a great fight with someone his own size. **** the Mexican fans want him to fight Tony.
