  • I think that those of us who have been in the ring, understand that when you break a guy like that, you have something on him. Cotto may indeed come back better than ever against other opponents, that is very possible. But you can rest assured that Margarito figures he's got something on him and a fighter feels that. It's a real big hurdle to overcome.

    • Rookies Gotta learn

Amen, Seebert- they don't score until the end of the round. In essence the 11th round didn't count for scoring purposes. Two judges had it 96-94 for Margarito. One judge a draw 95-95. If you count 6+4=10 or 5+5=10. No eleventh counted. Well it did for victory purposes

i was watching Cotto vs Margarito......what fight did you thnk i was talkin about? dumb ****. Fact of the matter is Cotto was giving Margarito a boxing lesson and hitting him at will. He couldnt keep up the pace for whatever reason, body shots, hurt nose, moving to much, whatever. Margarito just walked through shots all night. Thats no good. You cant count on just walking through shots in every fight. Margarito deserves all the credit in the world right now, but i do believe Cotto can get him next time.

        • Nothing can change the outcome of the fight

No matter what anyone says. Margarito was the better man. Call it skill, will, heart, pride and hey power. Margarito knocked out Cotto. And nothing can change that. People need to stop making excuses and accept it. Still Celebrating. Tijuana Tornado is # 1.

                • Classy Guy even in defeat

Just read an article when Cotto got back home to PR. He is a classy guy. He made no excuses (like fans and others are making) about the fight. He stated, " I made all the necessary preparations for the fight, Margarito was better in his game plan". No excuses. Classy Guy, accepted the loss.

Apparently you lack the ability to read a sentence properly. "We lost the batte, not the war!" That doesn't mean the war is won yet. It's in the making. Cotto will be back and he will get his revenge on Margarito.

Enjoy your victory. Live up every moment. It will be short lived (especially if Margarito fights Paul Williams next!)

Oh shut up! You have egg all over your face.. YOU ARE THE DUMB **** who gave that ridiculous answer that Cotto was winning the fight on the cards before he was wiped out in the 11th! Hence, what fight were you watching when the fight was going into the 11th and you had Cotto winning? You're just another biased poster watching feeds from the perspective of your bizarro mind where Cotto was dominating and Margarito wasn't doing anything to the man who quit until round 7.
