LOL.. YOUR ******ED... IF YOU DON'T THINK THIS IS A FIGHT THAT WILL BE REMATCHED YOU MUST NOT KNOW HOW TO MAKE MONEY.
THE MEXICANS WILL BUY AGAIN AND THE RICANS WILL DEFINITELY PACK THE HOUSE OUT THIS TIME...
AND THE REMATCH WILL BE IN ny MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. (I'LL TAKE BETS ON THAT TOO)
Sure. And when is this rematch happening?
Did you even hear Miguel Cotto talk about a rematch? That mutha****a said he's planning on taking a LONG vacation and then coming back later int he year (not against Margarito).
Yeah, maybe it happens...when Margarito is old and slowed down.
Cotto can outpoint margz if he keeps the fight in the middle of the ring and fights like he did for the 1st 6 rounds...but thats far easier said than done...cotto didnt hurt margarito at all, margarito said he hit him with some good shots but never hurt him...cotto's corner man said after the fight that margarito's body shots hurt cotto and it was clear as day that the uppercuts were fustigating cotto beyond belief..cotto can beat margarito but its alot easier said den done...how can u keep some in the middle of the ring who can hurt u but u kno u can't hurt enough to stop him comin? stopping margarito coming forward is like stopping a bulldozer with confetti
evrybody is a genius after the fact totally desagree a rematch whit margariot can probobly damage cottos career i see the same result whit an earlier stopage cotto fougth the best he could his a great figther indeed but figthing again whit margarito will prabobly ruin him as its we still need to see how can he bounce back from the defit because last saturday he took a beatinggive the man his credit
It's interesting that this article echoed my very thoughts expressed on here and ESPN immediately following the fight.
Cotto spent far too much time going backwards. It took some zing off of his punches, and his legs got tired. It was sort of an Ali-Frazier I scenario: one was clearly the quicker, more skilled fighter, but eventually, going backwards against someone with a good chin, a lot of heart, and a high work-rate will fail in the end.
Cotto also needed to press into the body following his counter punches. When Margarito would come in, and Cotto fired a few good shots and slipped some punches, he needed to press into Tony's ribcage, and maybe even spin him around, followed by a clinch. He could have taken a lot of wind out of Margarito, making the last rounds more like a cruise-control to the finish line. It's also easier to go forward than it is backwards. It doesn't matter how big and strong Tony is, those subtle changes, combined with the masterful boxing display Cotto already showed us, would give him a wide-margin victory.
He's a machine. I doubt he's having confidence issues. He'll probably take an easier fight before the year is over, and then fight Tony again next year. It will be Cotto's adjustments that make the difference.

No way. Cotto was beatin him for the first half, but Tony took over and destroyed him. Cotto did a good job but he couldn't keep Tony off him and I don't see it changin.
