I still give Pacman a hell of a shot to come away with a huge upset in this fight.

    Pacquiao's keys to victory

    Strengthen the body

Delahoya's main weapon is the left hook which has lost some zing over the years. With Pac's clear advantage in speed it'll be pretty simple to block or avoid it. It's critical for Pacquiao to be able to take the body shots and not get worn down as the fight goes deep.

    Speed kills

Jab, jab, left, quick flurry on the inside, turn, duck under the left hook, counter, step out of range, repeat

    Be the Aggressor

As counterintuitive as it sounds it'll be Pacman's only chance to keep the fight in the middle of the ring where he wants it where Oscar will have less opportunities to go to the body. Oscar is not used to dealing with busier fighters.

    [B]Delahoya's keys to victory[B]

    Cut off the ring

A smart vet like delahoya should have no problems diminishing Pacquiao's speed advantage

    Go to the body

    Often and with conviction

    Work the jab

He almost beat mayweather with it. With his clear power advantage a couple stiff jabs would freeze Pacquiao in his tracks and make him think twice about coming forward

you forgot First Gatti, then Forbes, then Pacquiao

But Pacman will suffer the same fate as Gatti but even worse since pacman cannot take such a beating.
Forbes didnt really get beat up he actually was able to land many punches on oscar and he took oscars punches well cause he caught them with his gloves and shoulder.

crap like this is why I hate DLH. the fight isn't official yet right, there still on going talks happening right? because until it's officially signed maybe all the backlash this fight will get might cause De La Hoya to re consider.

**which I believe is a contributing factor to why Mayweather retired. the whole rematch with DLH was getting virtually shut out and crapped on by the boxing public. heck even on Friday Night Fights Teddy and Joe took out time on the show to personally rip and question the seriousness of a DLH/Mayweather rematch.

about a month later right around DLH's fight with Forbes, Oscar did a short TV interview during the Malignaggi/Lovemore fight and again the feedback seemed to be lukewarm at best

so maybe Pac-Man can pull it off, he is the #1 Pound for Pound fighter in the world after all, but don't be surprised if the boxing media again questions why De La is fighting a man who started his career at 106.

**all though Manny's standings in the Pound For Pound unfortunately give him a pass, as the casual fan will just see it as "best in the world" vs "most popular"

If this fight is done, I hope it gets the worst PPV numbers of the year. Oscar will be a joke, I hope Margarito calls him out as a Maricon.

If the pac vs oscar does bad numbers then UFC will use that to brag that more people watch ufc over boxing.
Ufc will have a ppv the same month and Dana White will say boxing is dead look at oscar vs pacquiao no one ordered that fight!
                    Our ppv is the best.

This fight would be like an aged Bobby Riggs against an in their prime BJ King.
I certainly won't be buying it. To Gimmicky. He should fight a real welterweight.
