Cotto vs. Margarito: Big Hit With MMA Fans

Not an article but just an observation I made. I happened to stop by at Sherdog.net to see if anyone was talking about the fight and noticed a thread under their "Heavyweights: UFC and Elite XC" forum regarding the fight. The thread was about 8 pages long with the general consensus that it was better than any MMA event put on this year. After the 9th page or so, the thread was moved to the boxing forum.

Most of them were astonished at the kind of punishment Margo was able to withstand and brush off and were comparing Margo to Nick Diaz (ha). They felt Cotto fought an incredible fight for the first part of the fight and most think both of them are true warriors.

I got 3 calls from different people who are MMA fans saying how amazing the fight was. As a matter, apparently, the fight was shown in most bars in South Texas. My cousin called me right when Cotto's corner threw in the towel and I couldnt here a word he was saying because of the noise.

My boy who is a big MMA fan after hearing soo much about it from me decided to purchase it and loved the fight.. I got nothing but good feedback from him and his other buddy who is also into UFC.

Good read thanks 2501. I was wondering how these MMA posters ordered a boxing fight....then I realized, they were probably watching it on the internet (sopcast) or Pirate satellite.
