The doctor went on the radio a few days later and said that he didn't think that the cut was bad enough to stop the fight, that it was a "4 on the scale of 1-10" and that fighters fight with much worse cuts all the time.\

If the doctor didn't stop the fight, who did? RAHMAN! Rahman pussied out, plain and simple. He was lucky he got the headbutt as an excuse because he was going to get knocked out.

I agree Rahman is kinda a puss

but blame Toney, he's the one who head butted Hasim and caused the cut in the first place.

I agree man. Sorry but at the end of the day, there's no level of tolerance for butts. It was an unfair advantage which was clearly hindering Rahmans sight and performance after it happened. He coulda carried on but that doesn't mean he "shoulda" carried on. He didn't break the rules Toney did, neither deserve the win to NC is right.

Did you even watch the fight? Both fighters stated numerous times that it was an accidental head-butt, and honestly it's a ****ing fight, that kind of thing is going to happen sometimes.. especially when one person has the kind of head movement that Toney does.

Yup, just like some others I'm not totally convinced it was a completely accidental but, Toney is certainly careless at best. Whilst the cut wasn't that bad, it did seem to be effecting Rahman's sight and awareness. He wouldn't just get a cut then randomly take big shots for no reason alltogether.

There was a significant change in his reactions and the punches landing on him after the cut. It's an unfortunate scenario for both fighters. However, the Rahmans a ***** line is a little harsh in my book. Say it all you want, fact is his opponents head cut him not the other way round. NC is fair outcome neither can complain with really.

So now the precedent is set. If you want out of a fight that you're cut in, just let the doctor know and you can go home injury free with a full paycheck.

How can you place blame on something that is "accidental?"

Really that Dr. should not be allowed to supervise another fight.

He did not get in the ring, did not take a close look at Rahman, basically did not use due dilligence in performing his sole responsibility.

He instead stopped the fight essentially "at the recommendation of Rahman"
